Information for coaches, players and families for Golden Spikes Tournament - Sandusky, OH

We are now officially less than ONE MONTH away from the Golden Spikes Classic baseball tournament at Sports Force Parks in Sandusky, Ohio.

Dates: Thursday, July 16^th – Sunday, July 19^th   

Time: First games are to start at 8:00am on Thursday morning, gates open at 7:00am – NO SCHEDULE REQUESTS WILL BE TAKEN AT THIS TIME! 

Check-In: Teams are to check-in an hour before their first game (only 1 coach is needed)

Schedule: Will be released 5-7 days before the event start date 

SFP Gate Admission Cost: $40 for the weekend, $12 for a single day (senior and military discounts available); 7 years old and younger are free admission! 

Admission wristbands for coaches/players to enter SFP: Will be given out at Check-In, players can enter by wearing their uniforms 

Cedar Point Player Passes: Will be emailed to each individual player and coach (max 3 per team) the week of the tournament. Those will come from the info@sportsforceparks.com email address. If there are any questions about those passes, please reach out to the email address listed above! 

*NEW FOR 2026* Player of the Game awards to each winning team during pool-play and bracket-play and a Tournament MVP award for championship teams.

Schedule Format: 

Thursday, Friday & Saturday – each team will play 4 pool games over the course of these three days.  

Sunday – the top teams (TBD) in each age division will be seeded and placed in a single elimination championship bracket. No consolation games will be played.

2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7A, 7B, 8A, 8B, 9A, 9B

Batting Cages:

There are 10 available throughout the complex, and they are at a first come first serve basis.

  Additional Reminders for Family Members/Spectators: 

1. NO outside food and beverages are allowed in the park. They do allow coolers with water/sports drinks. 
2. NO sunflower seeds. TEAMS WILL BE CHARGED A $350 CLEANING FEE IF AREAS/FIELDS ARE LEFT TRASHED! 
3. NO gum. 
4. NO metal cleats/spikes. 
5. Chairs and tents are allowed.
6. Dogs must be on a leash; cleaning stations are located on Field 1.
